Your Homestay fee includes:
You can choose from 3 different meal plans depending on whether you wish to share meals with your hosts or you prefer a more independent lifestyle – Bed & Breakfast, full-board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner ) or half-board (breakfast and dinner). Students will eat whatever the family eats and help set the table or clear up after dinner. You are also encouraged to participate in family activities or outings.
Vegetarians or people with food allergies should let us know their eating options when booking so this can be shared with families before arrival.
The host will provide room in the fridge and pantry to store any food that students may purchase.
Staying with a host family will allow you to experience Cuban culture to the fullest extent possible and to practice Spanish in a natural setting. All of the families we work with are carefully selected to meet the demanding standard we hold for our students and their safety and comfort.
As a participant in the homestay program, you will become an extended family member of one of our host families. Students have their own private space as well as having time to socialize with the family.
You can practice your Spanish, learn about Cuban culture, and develop bonds that will last a lifetime. Our host families are willing to give their time to you, helping you to feel comfortable and welcome. Before you leave home, you will receive the address and contact details and a profile of your host and their location.
