My name is Euqueria Zamora Fernández and graduated from
Instituto Superior Pedagógico Enrique José Varona,Havana city, with a Master Degree in Education,in 1990.
My approach
to language instruction is communicative, blended with a dynamic and enthusiastic delivery. My students are always important
to me and I genuinely enjoy seeing them progress. I find it easy to build a good rapport with my students, something which
I believe is essential to successful teaching. New material is presented in the form of a dialogue . Structures are sequenced
and taught one at a time.
Besides,I teach grammar inductively. Skills are sequenced: listening, speaking, reading
and writing are developed in order. Vocabulary is strictly limited and learned in context. Teaching points are determined
by contrastive analysis between L1 and L2.
New vocabulary, colloquial Spanish and grammar are introduced through a
variety of stimulating and enjoyable activities. The aim is to create an environment where students develop language skills.
At present, I work for 2 prestigous universities in Finland: Laurea and HAMK Universities of Aplied Sciencies and teach Spanish as an independent instructor via Web 2.0 Conferencing.
